surger and another wanted $600 for theirs,( but it was going on sale on Saturday). What I'm hoping to do is make silk ribbons for my beads. I bought two beautiful silk ribbons at the Cabin Reatreat for $4 each. The woman making them said she had seen them in stores for as high as $12 each. Kind of amazing. The nicest thing about these ribbons is that you can put a few beads on them, tie it around your neck, and you have a complete necklace. The beads stay put where they are making it easy to space them out. I'll post pictures when I make them. Oh and the Wal*Mart surger, it was so funny in both stores that sold the more expensive surgers, I said, oh I'm going to get one for 200 dollars, they said, well it might not work. or well you don't get any instruction when you buy from them. There is no service. What they don't know is that I can read an instruction manuel and research on the internet, and wal mart will let me return the surger if it doesn't work up to 90 days after I buy it!
I just also ordered a bolt of silk gauze from Dharma Trading Company in California and some dies. The silk is not arriving until Monday, I won't have a lot of time to make my silk ribbons, I'll have to work fast! sleep later. |
