I will be away until Sunday, so if you have any questions or purchases I will help you
when I get back next week. I am very excited to be going to my first "Gathering" of bead makers at the International Society of Glass Beadmakers Conference. It is in louiville Kentucky and promises to be a great time with lots of demonstrations and what not.

I have a great stash of beads from the kiln this morning and have one of the focals listed
on eBay and one listed in the "beads" section of this site. I sent in my application to have a booth at the Riverfest in Wilmington NC on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1st of 2005. I'm pretty excited about that. I'm preparing for the International Society of Glass beadmakers confrence next week. Thanks for checking in with me. Email me if you have any questions or requests.

The heat continues to beat down like a devils fart. (I didn't say that). I'm still feeling
a little odd but better. I have 5 roses that arrived from Heirloom Roses all of them weeks ago, and with family, work, and that illness, I haven't been able to plant them. Now even if I felt 100% I couldn't plant them because it's so nasty hot out there. This morning I finally bought some potting soil and transplanted them to big pots and feel so happy that I've tended to them. Heirloom Roses is a wonderful company and their roses are all with their own roots, no grafting is done. These roses are wonderful. My Fantin Latour Rose came one spring, grew all summer and the next spring, (this just passed) those roses were prolific, beautiful and fragrant. I love the company. About business: I have some new listings at eBay, I'll be adding a few items here. Soon I'll be off to the International Society of Glass Beadmakers conference of which I am a proud member. |

I've had some kind of stomach virus for almost a week and think it is almost over.
Right when I feel ready to get back in my shop and make some wonderful beads, the weather is calling for a heat index of 100 degrees. And wouldn't you know I've got to go to a wedding which is about 2 hours away tonight, so I guess I won't get to light up the torch tonight either, but that just makes it more likely to happen tomorrow night. I'll do my best to post some new items for sale here at fire kissed glass today.

I learned something yesterday that if I knew before I had forgotten.
When you go to google, and do a search on web site there is a link that says "Cached" It shows you what Google has in it's Cache on your web page. My front page for Fire kissed Glass used to just have pictures and very few words. The Cached part only shows the words that are on the page. Supposedly the search engine takes it's information from the words on the page. (so obvious right?) I used to think if the metta tags had great words then the site would show up in the search engines, but I think the page needs to have those great words too! Try it on your own site and see what shows up.
I just signed up for Eni Oken's on line course on wire wrapping. |

It is official, I'm hooked on silver wire. I've been spending lots of time at two sites http://www.enioken.com/ and http://www.jatayu.com/ . Both sites are packed with information for anyone interested in learning how to work with silver.
